Introducing my new toy on the block - the 'U-Command Wall-E' with infrared remote control. Produced by Thinkway Toys, 'Wall-E' is the latest Disney Pixar animated movie currently screening. After having a chance to play with the toy on Friday night at Kenny's; I had to pick one up myself.

It's a animatonics remote control Wall-E! With glowing blue eyes! How could I resist!

This U-Command edition was not available at Toy R Us Vivo and I had place a reservation at the United Square outlet. Thankfully, I did; cause I didn't see any left on the shelves when I was at the shop this afternoon.

Overall - beautifully crafted with texturing true to the movie character. Proportions are great, and all the important details are included, right down to the real rubber treads. It's light-weight yet with a solid feel.

Robot movements is smooth and fluid. Wall-E can even dance for you!

I wanted to do a video review on the toy, but there are already dozens online. This one is pretty comprehensive on all the features.

Now I want to get EVE to complete the pair up. Besides a soft toy version, I haven't seen any with interactive features. Let me know where I can hunt down an EVE.

  1. Ooooooh. Nice! =)

I'm waiting for Ultimate Wall-e to be released. But at USD189, he's a tad expensive.

  2. I heard another friend say the Ultimate Wall-e may retail around SGD$400 plus (if it even comes around). But I thought that price is actually very decent. It's really cool - height up to the knee and responses to your voice.

Let me know if you see one around or intend to pick up one.

  3. My nephew has such a toy! He is so fond of his friend wall-e, that is even ready to go to bed with him!!! The toy is really rather expensive, by the way... Apart from a toy, I've got a link for downloading the movie Wall-E

  4. Hi Holly, yes; this version of the toy cost my SGD$99 when I picked it up in the stores. But I heard a brand new boxed set now cost double! The price has gone up and it is now a collectors item!
