A Blink to New Year's Eve
Saturday, December 28, 2002With a blink of an eye, Christmas is over and it's New Year's Eve today! This Christmas was wholesome, a good celebration of Mass in church with the family and simple gatherings. No big fan fairs that choked me up towards the big day. In fact this year was relaxing. I wasn't impressed with the Christmas decorations around town and was doubly careful with the gifts spenditure. There's this tint of worry for next year's bleak economy and the need to save for rainy days.
As the New Year approaches, I'm looking to see how my financial budgeting and time management can be improved. Then, there are other New Year resolutions like: read and exercise more and be more creative! Pretty much the same old stuff... but at least it will help kick off the year in a more positive manner. :)
Christmas Eve 2002
Tuesday, December 24, 2002It's almost crazy to think it's Christmas Eve 2002! And the worse part of it all... I'm still stuck in the office blasting off this *blog* before I head out of here. Christmas brings a sweet smile to my face as the joy of the season just fills the air around. I just returned back from a short holiday. Was a little hectic, but nevertheless, much needed. Now I look forward to some time for reflection, giving some thought to the new year ahead... meanwhile, I'll just enjoy this holiday with all the people that mean something in my life.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Advent Season
Thursday, December 05, 2002Almost can't believe it is the Advent Season again. Time to put up the Christmas Tree and it's decorations, play Christmas music, burn the pockets with Christmas gifts and indulge in the season's great tasting food! I love Christmas and the meaning it brings through Christ's birth. Drawing towards the end of the year also reminds me to sum up the year like a report / achievement card. Most of the time, I'm almost embarrassed by the results. I'll keep the final grades till New Year's Eve, where this last month of December to tie up all the loose ends. There's still time to make Christmas special this year.
