We're less then 3 days away from 2003's Lunar New Year. Uncle George and his family have arrived late last week from Sydney and adding to the festivity is a new member to the family - Baby Joel! Baby Joel popped into the World on Wednesday (29th) evening; but I heard about some complications this morning. He'll be transferred over to KK hospital for an operation on the heart. After reading up on Peter and Elva's baby who's going through DORV (Double Outlet Right Ventricle), VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) and PA (Pulmonary Atresia) in the US; it's quite a worrying thought on how the little ones will be taking on these harsh starts in life.
Despite the New Year Holidays drawing nearer, I'm growing more aware of the fragility of life itself. Guess it helps one treasure and appreciate what we already behold and learn to live life a to the max each day.
Still the New Year will draw upon us, and this year... I will not wish for prosperity and wealth... rather for happiness and health - for everyone!
