Yesterday's dinner at Maison Basque was fabulous! Mr. Najip, the French owner of the restaurant surprised my Dad with a slice of cake, topped with a single candle and a well pronounced Chinese version of Happy Birthday! It was such a lovely gesture and it made the dinner extra special! Maison Basque remains one of our top "Makan" places, with great food at even greater prices. My mom actually agreed with the choice of food!
Dinner and presents exchange with the gang is off tonight. Charles had claimed to be sick, but it didn't seem very serious... his insomnia is still on and I believe that had been getting to his overall health. Will be meeting him tonight to return him the Ipod (*sob*). That is actually a nice device to carry to Europe.
I'll be taking the free time to do some packing and more research on the Europe Trip. Hopefully I can settle most of it tonight and have the weekend to pick up the odd and ends.
