I've been wanting to check out one of those Botak Jones Authentic American Outlets for the longest time. With rave reviews of huge American sized portions at a reasonable hawker centre price. Well... of cause their outlets are really at hawker centres.
A very pretty housing estate hawker centre. Think they even serve wine at the drinks stall???
For a Wednesday night, the Depot Road outlet had a steady stream of patrons. With the stall's staff whipping out huge plates of highly stacked burgers and generous servings of fish and chips.
I went straight for the 200g Rosemary Lamb Chops. Regretted seeking the advise of the cashier dude who suggested me to take a medium. It was cooked nicely to medium, but then I recalled I preferred my meat a tiny bit bloody! Good taste overall, though Anne complained that the chili powdered fries were on the dry side. At the price of SGD$11.50, I figure with a couple more dollars I could chill in a much nicer environment. But I still enjoyed the hawker style... reminds me of Changi Village's Charlie's Corner... Wonder if they've Gone Fishing?
