Presenters Jack & Ray with guests in the house - Angels Are Architects

It's a rare treat to spend a Sunday afternoon chilling with Indie-Air gig bands at the Mosaic Music Festival. We found a nice spot at the Singapore Arts Cafe within the Esplanade Library where the "On Air - In The House" took place. Presented by band members of EIC, Jack & Ray; the program of the afternoon featured 4 groups of artists in an interview style format followed by a couple of acoustic numbers.

It was a totally easy rainy afternoon. I was armed with my Mitch Albom novel and a bottle of Bundaberg Ginger Ale to savour between gigs.

The bald dude and drummer, Mitch; did a nice number with the Egg Shaker... I want one of those...

From New South Wales, Australia, Angels Are Architects (formally known as If Angels Were Architects or The Fallen) formed in mid 2004 with the premise of creating music that would help a hurting heart get to sleep at night. The sound - a blend of soul-soothing lyrics delivered by the haunting vocal of Amber Nichols on a bed of melodic guitars and spacey back-beats - draws on a wide genre influence, ranging from alternative rock to acoustic ballads to electronica and dance.

Yet again, some horrible recordings... now I really feel I need a nice, small digital recorder...

Imago sure knows what a pop song is supposed to sound like! Filipino alt-pop-rock band, creator of catchy indie rock tunes, melodic and original...

Imago was formed in 1998. They wrote an album’s worth of original material which they recorded under the helm of producer and musician Bob Marlow.

The band is also winner of the NU 107 Rock Awards 2001, 2005 and 2006 across several categories, Imago is known to be a dynamic act live or in its chart-topping recordings.

The last gig before we headed off was totally hopeless by Vanessa & Trisno fromerly from Urband Xchange and Pakring Lot Pimp! They talked a whole load of crap... which bored me to tears...
