The Waiting Heart

True love, like true faith,
knows how to wait.
For love that is true actually grows
during this season of waiting
Made richer by things it has
seen and touched and felt,
things it cannot keep to itself,
love casts an ever-widening circle,
enfolding and blessing all those
within its reach.

Have no thought
for this time of waiting,
It shall be a period of growing.
