During my trip in Sydney, I shot a series of panoramic scenery shots which I hope to develop into a 2008 year calendar. Enjoy some of the snaps here:

Sydney Opera House

Designed by Danish architect, Jørn Utzon; the Sydney Opera House in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful architecture in the world. Recently, it made it's way to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007. Having visited Sydney twice, I have yet to pay a visit into the halls and interior of the Opera House. Perhaps I will do so in my next visit?

Katoomba-Panorama-01b
Blue Mountains - Katoomba

At Katoomba is the famous rock formation of the Three Sisters - Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m).

Lithgow Hassans Wall

Lithgow on the western slopes of the Blue Mountains is 144 km north-west of Sydney and 920 m above sea-level. This is also home to Aunty Victoria and family who runs a serene Japanese bathhouse. There is something in the open space and high altitude of Lithgow that makes me love this place so much.

Hassans Wall -
10 km south of town along Hassans Wall Rd is the highest scenic lookout in the Blue Mountains (1130 m above sea-level). Look out to Mt Wilson, Mt York, Mt Tarana and Mt Blaxland and the whole Hartley Valley below. To the south are the Kanimbla and Megalong Valleys and Mt Bindo (1363 m). Continuing on past Hassans Wall Lookout take a left into Norman Henry Drive to Braceys Lookout for views over Lithgow.

Hunter-Valley-Panorama-10b
Hunter Valley

Approximately 160 kilometres north of Sydney is Australia's most famous wine growing region, Hunter Valley.

Port Stephen Anna Bay

Port Stephens is a beautiful Port only two and a half hours drive north of Sydney. This magnificent place is where the sea meets the desert!

Stockton Beach is an awe inspiring 32 kilometre stretch of beach and sand dunes between Birubi Point at Anna Bay in the north of Port Stephens, and the town of Stockton near Newcastle in the south. This almost surreal dune system is up to 1 kilometre wide in places and covers an area of over 2,500 hectares. It is reputedly the largest 'moving' sand dune system in NSW Australia.

Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach is the closest beach to the Sydney city centre at 8km.

Canberra-Panorama-20b
Canberra

The site of Canberra was selected for the location of the nation's capital in 1908 as a compromise between Sydney and Melbourne. A quiet town, it is also home to the Parliament House, National Museum of Australia and the War Memorial Museum.
