Nadal's Championship point against Federer at Wimbledon 2008
If you thought last year's Wimbledon Men's finals was awesome... this year was absolutely out of this world! Over 4 hours of top notch tennis from the 5 time Wimbledon defending champion, Roger Federer against World No. 2 Rafael Nadal.
Last year I had cable transmission of the live games... this year I depended on online streaming... the resolution was horrid.
Just when you thought Nadal had broke 2 sets of Federer and well on his way to his 1st Wimbledon trophy, Federer makes a magnificent come back bringing the game into 5 sets!
The final score - 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7.
Nadal falls to the ground on championship point
With his signature; bite the trophy ear handle shot...
Let's just say, tennis have never been this good; and more honestly, I've never seen 2 players played as hard. This year, the dark horses shone. Rafa deserved this victory. Federer made one too many errors, but nevertheless is still a star in his own right.
I officially had 3 hours of sleep since last night... goodnight Wimbledon *YAWN*
GREAT match, pity I could only catch some of the commentary on BBC
ReplyDeleteIt's soooo different watching vs. listening to a match. But guess listening is better nothing. I caught the matches on TVU you sent me last time. Pretty decent really... when you don't have cable...
