We lost Robin Williams, 63, to an untimely death on August 11, 2014. Arguably one of, if not the most, funniest man to ever walk the earth, the loss of Williams is felt worldwide with a collect intake of disbelief and crushing sadness. Robin Williams was not only an excellent comedian but also a game enthusiast, so much so that he named his daughter, Zelda after the princess in Legend of Zelda.

Following a petition to name a NPC (Non-Player Charater) within World of Warcraft to memorialize the late Robin Williams, fans of Legend of Zelda are now petitioning to Nintendo to do similar in the new Legend of Zelda game. Nintendo of America for Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword and Four Swords hired him and his daughter to promote the franchise in a series of ads.

The petition proposed by Nick Schaedel, Petition Organiser writes
To:
Nintendo of America, Nintendo

Please consider naming an NPC in the new Legend of Zelda game after Robin Williams. It was a series he loved, and it's a small tribute to a great man.

Sincerely,
As of 16 August, over 95,000 petitions were signed. I have submitted mine as an avid supporter of the game. It's a pity Williams did not have the courage to live out his difficult life, I have no doubt that he would continued to make the world a funnier place.
Make a petition at Change.org. I would love to see "Robin" around in the game.
